Well hello everyone. First I want to thank everyone for the comments and the emails. During my absence it has been nice to see I was not forgotten because I have not forgotten any of you. I will get around to visit everyone and catch up this week.
So what’s up?
Question 1 – No the knee is not much better. Heading into week 7 and the swelling has not lessened much and in fact by the end of the day my leg is swollen from mid-thigh through my ankle if I don’t stay off of it. It is expected to take another 4-6 weeks. I am now up to 1000 mg of Ibuprofen and getting ready to increase the dosage. A good part of my absence is due to the pain and not wanting to complain all the time. It takes great effort just to do the normal things in life, walk the dog, get in and out of the car, go to the store (Walmart is certainly a dreaded trip) then when I get home all I can do is sleep.
Question 2 – The new job — Well a leap it was. I finished the third week of training and made almost 400 cold calls in one week. I hated it. I didn’t take the hang ups personally and some people were actually very nice. I was working 50+ hours and not making any money and the costs were rising. I just did not have the "sales" personality although I truly believe in what we were offering. So I am on the job search again.
My niece and her dogs won first place in the SPCA parade – especially since they were dressed in Rays uniforms. Here’s a picture from last year when they went as Bucs…
Speaking of the Rays, yeah I know they didn’t win the World Series but what a ride! It’s always fun to root for the underdog. From last to second – not bad.
Lil dog is, well, lil dog. I think he is enjoying having me home the last couple of days. He is not usually a lap dog but the past couple of days he will come over and sleep on my lap. The puppy is now known as tiny dog. He is absolutely adorable. His ears stand up and he is looking more like a Chihuahua on the husky side. Since he is mixed we can’t be sure exactly what he is. He is a feisty little thing though. He has no problem barking and bossing the bigger dogs around.
Well, finally, here’s something to entertain you in the true Rosebay tradition. Enjoy:
