  1. How sad.  At least she had a good long life.  Thanks for sharing. Now, just becasue there are no kids doesn\’t have to mean no Christmas does it?  That makes me sad.WR

  2. Yes, I saw the tribute Jay Leno did for the fruitcake lady.  He really did a great job with it.  She was so funny and brutally honest.  Thanks for the post.
Oh sure , rub in the great Florida weather this time of year. lol  Come north and enjoy some snow and ice?? Well, maybe not.

  3. That was nice to mention that. We should all start a career at 89!

  4. Oh my – another brilliantly funny person gone from our lives.  I did so enjoy her spots on Leno.  What a hoot!

  5. Oh I enjoyed the Fruitcake Lady\’s segments on Jay Leno!  Man she made me laugh.  She\’ll be missed.  Jay Leno did a very nice tribute to her — it really seemed heartfelt.
What would she say now if she saw all of us crying.  I think she\’d say something like, "Oh my g**, get off your a** and live your life.  I mean, what kind of a *&^%%# sits around crying, hmm?"    … But I think she\’d be smiling on the inside and really appreciate all the love from us, her fans.  I\’ll miss her feisty ways on the Jay Leno show…
